Course program
This course aims at providing the basic concepts of cultural anthropology in order to recognize and investigate cultural process and urban and rural contexts, through an array of case-studies analyses enlightening their cultural construction. The main knowledge acquired will focus on: analytical tools to understand the complexity of urban processes from an anthropological point of view; the analysis of specific and different urban contexts; the symbolic level of local belonging; the interpretations and self-representations of citizenships; the active local worlds of small villages; cultural landscapes and the forms of their heritage.
